ARE PSO Minutes- April 1,  2008
 
1.  DSIT  made budget cuts but none affecting ARE or the elementary levels.

2. Principal’s Report-  Are will get another mobile. It is undecided which classes will occupy the mobile.
-Enrollment is up to 661 for next year so far, so plans are being made to make the best learning environment possible with the space we have.
-ARE and all Adams 12 schools will have a new start time for next year of 7:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
-Next years district school calendar was sent around, ARE can add 2 days off to our liking and suggestions may be given to the Principal.
-Art teacher, Mrs. Brooks received a $660 Realtor grant for the tiles 10th anniversary project so PSO won’t be needing to fund as much.

3. New Business
-Student Council requested $300 to beautify the front of the school in the  mulched area. They will do the planting and maintaing of flowers and bushes. PSO will be giving them this money.
 
4. Family Fun Night was big success, $723.25 was earned with admission and bake sale. The cost of Radio Disney was $750.00. Thanks to all those who helped.

5. Celebration of Learning is coming up in May.  Looking for food donations and volunteers for the Hot dog dinner. Contact Brian Sack or Sandy Hruby.

6. Volunteer Raffle winner was Lynn Konken.

7. Meeting adjourned 7:35 pm.
